Cree Summer moved to Los Angeles to seek stardom and start her career as a singer, just like the dream of every struggling artist. She released her first album on WORK records in 1999. Street Faerie is a vibrant mixture of emotions and styles, from the changing euphorias of "Soul Sister" and "Deliciously Down" to the electric blues of the Lenny Kravitz duet "Mean Sleep." Summer's first tour was playing the 1999 ~Lilith Fair.
