The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections secretary set a date for the execution of a man convicted in the killing of a Pennsylvania state police corporal.
Department of Corrections Secretary John Wetzel signed a Notice of Execution setting June 22 as the date for the execution of Eric Frein, according to a state department of corrections news release.
Frein was convicted and sentenced to death for the 2014 murder of a Pennsylvania State Police Cpl. Bryon Dickson II during an ambush attack of the Blooming Grove barracks in northeastern Pennsylvania.
